OLIVES AND FRUITS HARVESTING
esempio applicazione esempio applicazione
Harvesting olives, almonds, hazelnuts and sweet chestnuts is very hard work which requires considerable manpower. In order to reduce harvesting costs, many farmers prefer to wait for the fruit to fall naturally from the plant, then gathering it with sweeping and suction machines. However, if these fruits stay on the ground too long, they tend to develop mould and rot that reduces the quality of the fruit and, in the case of olives, the quality of the oil due to an increase in acidity. While the fruit was manually harvested from the trees in the past, the excessive labour involved in this operation led to the use of mechanical harvesting methods, which involve shaking the plant using poles or mechanical arms. The fruits fall onto netting laid beneath the plants, leading to considerable savings in time and labour.

ELAION

UV-resistant polyethylene monofilament nets. Elaion's knotted-weave mesh guarantees the fabric's run-resistance, while the different mesh sizes are designed for harvesting various different crops. Iride Due, Elaion Candia and Elaion Extra are all made with more than one weft (cross-wise) making these nets more robust.

campione prodotto 2020VE ELAION VERDE
Is ideal for collecting naturally fallen fruit. The sheets or rolls are laid out underneath the trees, where they remain until the harvest has been completed.
campione prodotto 2060WO ELAION EXTRA
Is used in sheets that are placed beneath trees during mechanical harvesting.
campione prodotto 2080WO ELAION CANDIA
Is a very strong, heaving netting. It is described as "prickle-proof" because the weft reduces the possibility of scratching or catching on brambles and rough ground.

RASTRELLO
